![]() ![]() I can also choose what's happening when I swipe right. It defaults to archive, but I can change that. I can also decide what happens when I swipe to the left or the right of the message. If it doesn't have an icon it's just going to use their initials. That is the avatar icon to the left of the message. I can also decide to not use the center image. So you can even come in here and play around to decide if you're going to like it or not. And if I uncheck it right now, you'll see that the selections you make get updated instantly. And that's going to remove the one sent preview of the email. If we move a little further down to message preview, I can uncheck that. And if I don't like focused inbox at all, I can uncheck this and it's going to remove the tabbed interface and just put everything in one inbox. ![]() ![]() I can also decide when mail is marked as read. The first choice is the display density and that's just how mashed up the text is. ![]() Here's where you can choose some more settings to customize the view. For now though, let's head all the way to the bottom of the screen and choose settings. I'll go over these choices you might want to filter on later. Once you're done with the filter, remove the checkmark and it goes back to showing you all of your mail. I frequently use the unread filter to quickly see if I've missed any important email. You also might want to temporarily filter the view to only see certain email. For example, I can choose to sort by from, in which case the sort direction toggle will be an A to Z or Z to A format. If I click the horizontal lines directly to the left of that, I can change the sort order. It's going to toggle it back and forth from newest to oldest. I can change that sort of direction by clicking the down arrow on the top right hand side of the message list. For example, I can read here's an email from today. Let's start by deciding how our email is ranged. Outlook has some great options for customizing the way you read your mail to make it work exactly the way you feel comfortable and productive. ![]()
